RedRoom Recorders is operated by musicians Wes Dearth and Mark Prator. Our studio has proudly served Tampa Bay since 2003, providing recording, mixing, and mastering.
RedRoom Recorder’s recording studio is centrally located within Tampa Bay, Florida with quick access to nearby I-4, I-275, and Lee Roy Selmon (Crosstown) Expressway.
Mark Prator and Wes Dearth started RedRoom Recorders in 2003 as a project studio to provide Tampa Bay musicians with exceptional quality recording with a down-to-earth price structure. Since then, the recording studio has grown, but our business philosophy remains rooted in this original vision – our goal is to provide independent and professional musicians with access to the cutting-edge recording, mixing, and mastering technology and real-world performing and engineering expertise needed to compete in today’s music industry. We work hard to give you the sound you want for the price you need.
Our recording studio has had the privilege to work with artists ranging from bedroom songwriters, aspiring local indie acts on the verge of breaking into the national scene, as well as established platinum selling bands. RedRoom has built a solid reputation for our ability to capture some of the best vocal and instrument tones as well as the edgiest drum and guitar sounds. Our specialty is live instrument tracking and mixing – acoustic and electric, with complete integration into MIDI software samplers and instruments. Our recording engineers’ experience spans various genres of music, including, rock, gospel, jazz, hip-hop, metal, international, Christian, and folk.
RedRoom Recorders uses Pro Tools High Definition (HD2 and HD3) to provide high quality recording services. Our recording engineers come from a touring and performing background and their experience is broad and spans a variety of musical genres. No project is too large or challenging, but, by the same token, RedRoom is able to serve the needs of musicians embarking on their first demo or album recordings.
RedRoom Recorders is owned and operated by musician and recording engineers John Wesley (Wes) Dearth and Mark Prator, each with over 25 years of performing, songwriting, recording, and music industry experience.
